Another stunning picture book with a new technique from the Wildling crew to help younger children find calm through the rollercoaster of emotions they can experience.

Teaching children mindfulness through the senses at a young age can help them build confidence, learn to cope with stress and realise they can overcome challenging moments in their life.

The fun ‘Five, Four, Three, Two, One’ rhyme is an easy way for children to remember to use their senses to find their way back to calm.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Another gem in the Wildling Books series, Finding My Calm is a must-have resource to top up your wellbeing toolkit. Empowering parents and teaching children ways to cope with their big feelings, this is a gorgeous book with a powerful and grounding message for our wee ones. As a mental health advocate and a māmā, one of my aims is to help children to identify emotions and learn ways to manage them; this book does just that.” – Rebekah Ballagh, counsellor, author and illustrator, Journey to Wellness.

Thanks team, another wonderful resource!
I purchase these books to use in my Bowen Therapy clinic.
I work with children, who are often seeing me for their anxiety.
We often need to connect by reading together before the physical therapy can begin, to lower their nervous system response.
I love your books as they have wonderful stories to enjoy and discuss, and the pictures are beautiful too.
Parents often ask where I find them and I always recommend your website.

Such a wonderful resource for my 7 and 9 y/o. This sits on the wall at the top of the stairs next to their routine whiteboard and is referred to often. Very useful and in a space where they can read it also, in their own time.

Finding my Calm

What an absolutely wonderful book for the spiciest of children.
We have a prickly hedgehog in our house and this book has helped massively in helping him feel a little less sharp in times of big emotions. I love the poem and even find myself chanting it when feeling frustrated.
'Finding my calm' is a perfect accompaniment to our other wildling book 'how do I feel?' Where we can identify so many different emotions and how we might feel those big emotions too.
I love hearing my children say they are 'feeling remorseful' if they have accidently hurt eachother or 'im just feeling a tad melancholy' when they dont know why they feel a bit off.
I think it is so sweet and is hopefully going to follow them into adulthood to be able to feel their feelings fully and understand its okay to not be okay some days.
Thankyou Wildling for making true books for real kids.
