This stunning boxed card set will help our children learn to recognise and label emotions and feelings. The set is from the best-selling book, How Do I Feel? A Dictionary of Emotions for Children and includes all 63 emotions and an introvert and extrovert card.

With a beautiful illustration of the emotion on one side and the name and definition on the other side, these cards will be a helpful tool for any parent or teacher wishing to help expand emotional literacy in children. Use these cards to start conversations about different emotions. If you can, give examples of times you have experienced a particular emotion. When you see a child experiencing an emotion, help your child label it. “Are you feeling ... right now?” and show them the corresponding card.

Learning to recognise and label our emotions correctly is such an important skill for life. Giving our children this language helps to build emotional literacy. It is a gift to give children the tools to know how to recognise what they truly feel and that is it okay to feel all emotions. When they know that no emotion is ‘good’ or ‘bad’ and that all emotions provide messages, then it takes away any attachment to that emotion being part of who they are.

It is important to us to use packaging that does not add to plastic waste issues that we have in the world. We use cardboard boxes that can be re-used in your garden as a great weed mat or they can be recycled with your paper recycling. We also use eco tapes, both brown and clear which can go into your compost or left on the cardboard to use as weed mats.

Aotearoa

Free delivery NZ wide on all orders over $70. Orders under $70, shipping is $5.50 NZ wide with rural addresses $9.50. We will dispatch your order within 1-3 working days and you will receive an email confirmation with tracking details.

Orders are shipped and tracked via Post Haste couriers and expected delivery within NZ is 1-3 working days, 3-5 working days for rural deliveries.

Please do NOT provide a PO Box address as Post Haste do not deliver to them.

Australia

Cut off for Christmas is 24 November 2021.

Orders to Australia are sent via either NZ Post which is non-tracked standard international airmail or Australian Post E-Parcel which is partially tracked an d both charged at a flat $12. If you order an item that is a pre-order or out of stock, your order will be sent altogether when all items are in stock.

Expected delivery to Australia is 3-10 working days. However, since Covid 19 deliveries are taking a lot longer than usual.

Rest of the World

Orders are sent via NZ Post which is non-tracked standard international airmail charged depending on the amount of books/weight.

Expected delivery to 6-15 working days. However, since Covid 19 deliveries are taking a lot longer than usual, some up to 20-30 working days.

Returns Policy

Wildling Books wish all our customers to receive their products in perfect order. If there is something wrong with the product you have received or if your delivery is not correct, please contact us immediately at bex@wildlingbooks.com. If you send us an email, please include as many details as possible including your order number and photographic evidence of any damage, and in some cases a photograph of the packaging itself. Please ensure you keep your delivery until the return process is complete.

No refunds, returns or exchanges will be processed unless contact has been made about any issues within seven (7) working days of receipt of your item. We may be able to extend this time under special circumstances, but please make contact as soon as you notice any problems so we can remedy the situation for you. We do not refund purchases on the basis of changing your mind.

There are no refunds or returns available for ebooks or printables, so please choose carefully when ordering. We may ask for you to return the product in which case, we will refund the value of the purchased product, but we do not have to refund the value of the shipping. If you are required to return the product, you must pay for the shipping to return the goods and this must also be arranged by yourself. The goods are your responsibility until they reach our office. Please ensure you pack the return safely to prevent any damage to the products or boxes. New Zealand customers are protected by the Consumer Guarantees Act.

It’s beautiful because it’s a game of recognising emotions, so it’s easy and fun, but there’s a deep and important learning happening as you play - and that’s there to draw on when you’re deep in an emotion. Those tools, that self acceptance. I’m so grateful that this exists.

How do I Feel cards

I am a Secondary School Drama teacher, and I bought these cards to use with my Year 9 - 13 classes. We are using them a lot, at all levels, for games, character development and script exploration. They encourage the students to think about a much wider range of emotions, and this is enabling them to create work that is deeper and much more effective and connected. It's also good to see students developing their vocabulary around emotions; understanding how many and how varied they are is key to helping them to connect to themselves, their characters and their audience. I've also ordered the whole set for school, the Music and Dance teachers are keen to use them in their subjects too! Nga mihi Wildling, these cards are awesome!

Love the product. But the dictionary is the best overall I wouldn't recommend book or cards for kids under 5 . If you want introduce cards under 5 would only introduce the basic big feelings.. Anger, Happy, Excitement, Frustration, Patience, Sad etc. Then slowly start introducing more...
