This board book is a simplified version from the best-selling book, How Do I Feel? A Dictionary of Emotions for Children. It helps to introduce our little wildlings to emotions and how they might look, using other toddlers so they can recognise themselves in the illustrations, which is very important.

When we help young children label their emotions, it helps them to understand and manage what they are feeling and to improve their emotional literacy as they grow.

When big emotions come to visit, use the simple belly-breathing tool at the back to help your child find their way back to calm. This is a simple yet effective tool in helping children manage big emotions. Used regularly it can really help a child to learn to manage and regulate their own emotions over time.

The board book covers just ten emotions, we picked the ones that toddlers might experience and resonate with, and they are:

I feel ...

Silly, Angry, Curious, Sad, Excited, Scared, Happy, Frustrated, Shy, Confused, Loved

The last page covers a simple way to blow big emotions away with deep breathing.

This book is perfect for my 20 month old, we have the rest of the set bit this is something he can pick up and use now. It's inviting us to learn belly breathing together which is working fabulously!

Big emotions & Aroha's way let it go,Aroha how do I feel

I purchased the baby book first, then the boxed set & book. How do I feel. Wonderful books. I wish this had been available when I was a kid, when my kids were kids. Very happy my grandchild will benefit from these values that explain what might be happening. Talks about so many things.. a name or colour or a feeling, a sensation maybe it will help the paralyses of emotions that has held so many captive or created problems in life's over generations to reverse.
Beautifully written and illustrated

Beautiful and simple

My daughter loves this book and loves bringing it to me to read (and act out) she's started using more complex emotional language and I think this book (plus the encyclopedia of emotions and posters) have really helped her with this.

She's 2 years 3 months old

Awesome

My 2 year old loves the pictures and loves acting out the emotions. A nice simple way of depicting a complex theory to little ones.
